Berdasarkan geometri, vessel terbagi menjadi 4 jenis

1. Open tank

2. Flat bottom, vertical cylindrical tank

3. Vertical cylindrical and horizontal vessel with formed ends

4. Spherical/modified spherical vessel

• Digunakan untuk fase gas
• Kapasitas 1.000-25.000 barel (bbl)
• Tekanan 10 lb/sqin gage
